Dustin Jones...a little about me

I started M.C. Jones Designs because I realized my passion for creating and building things. It takes a lot of focus and time to complete each project, but that time has given me the opportunity to discover new and interesting techniques.

I have completed three years of Architecture schooling at South Dakota State Univerisity. Here I have gained a lot of knowledge and insight into many different areas that has culminated into a business venture. I am also working on getting a Masters of Business Administration that will further the scope of my business.

I would not be where I am today if it was not for family and friends who have shown nothing but support in my endeavors.

Where the M & C come from...

My grandfathers have given me inspiration and guidance throughout my life, so the first two initials in my business's name are dedicated to them for their unwavering support.

Martin William Ellingson

Martin is my maternal grandfather. Born 6-11-1934 he grew up in Lake Preston, South Dakota on a family farm.

He joined the Army in 1957 and served in Germany where he worked in the artillery supply room until 1959.

After he served, he came back to South Dakota and ran the family farm.

Charles Otto Jones

My late grandfather Chuck is my paternal grandfather. Born 9-14-1928 he grew up in St. Lawrence, South Dakota.

He joined the Army in 1946 and served in Korea where he worked as a parts clerk until 1948.

After he served, he came back to South Dakota and farmed from 1948-1962. Then he moved to Lake Preston, South Dakota to become a butcher at the local meat market until he opened his own business, Chuck's Grocery (1973-1993).
